Red flag pain: The pain of self-sabotage

Behaviour is said to be self-sabotaging when it creates problems in daily life and interferes with long-standing goals.

  • What is self-sabotage?

  • Why do all humans get caught up in self-sabotaging behaviour cycles?

  • What are the ways in which we self-sabotage? Beginning with the idea of a negative self-concept and how this increases a desire to build a personal repertoire of poor decisions and habits.

  • How to begin to break the self-sabotaging cycle.

White flag pain: The unfairness of life.

Human beings have an innate belief system about life, this belief is what helps us to go out and live our everyday lives and hopefully grow and prosper, but what happens 'when life feels unfair' and we feel thwarted in our seeking for happiness and fulfilment?

  • What it is to be human, our assumptions and beliefs about life.

  • What happens when our beliefs and assumptions are challenged and sometimes shattered.

  • Getting past the unfairness of life with acceptance and assimilation of the 'new normal.'

Green flag pain: The pain of the observer

The occurrence of "feeling average." Always the watcher, never the main player.

  • Finding your purpose

  • Being afraid of change, even positive change

  • Fear of failure

  • The human need for external validation

  • Supporting and involving your cheerleaders (mind your focus)
